Love to get some feedback.

I love fabrics and clothes but really not the catwalk glamour kind. What I love are homemade style and unusual designers who make ageless and comfortable clothes for all types of women. I love antique lace and pretty things like ribbons and other embelishments. Ethnic clothes and all kinds of embroidery interest me and I love to look at piantings for inspiration too.All dress is fancy dress if you like as we are born nude Ha ! Ha!
So please if you have any comments ,ideas or favourites let me know, hope you enjoy Sweet Disorder!

Mid Summer Post

Well at last the summer came and out came the light and floaty things from last season.
Bought a few nice pieces fro charity shops as well.

The florals and the lawns and lots of lacy things!
Nadir clothes are so inspiring, the colours and the layering.
Most of the last few months have been taken with making a sewing room for me.
I have used our third bedroom which had a large double bed in it for guests. There was never enough space to cut things out and then we had a serious leek in the roof that damaged the ceiling and outer wall. This seemed the right time to do what I have wanted to do for ages, make a proper sewing space!
The roof and ceiling are mended and I am painting the floor boards white. Steve and his lovely Dad are going to repaper and paint and the bed is being replaced by a bed settee. I have found in a charity shop a strong fold away table with storage spaces in the sides. I will not have to crawl all over the floor to cut out patterns. I am hoping it will be finished in the next couple of weeks and will post some pics then.
I had to turn all my stuff out and found lots of back copies of Gudrun Sjoden's catalogue which made inspirational bedtime reading for a few nights I also found a basket and filled it with discarded material from dresses etc and trawled the charity shops for older interesting fabrics.

This lovely piece is by Paris Rags.

Lovely layering!

I would love to visit this gorgeous French Boutique!

These clothes are works of art!
Anyway next time I will show you round my little den and hope to have made something from the Japanese Pattern books I bought off Amazon.
